Dr. Praveena Lionel has 17 years of experience as a Consultant Pediatrician. She earned her undergraduate degree from Tirunelveli Medical College, her postgraduate D.CH. at Christian Medical College in Vellore, her DNB Pediatrics at Southern Railway Headquarters Hospital in perambur, Chennai and her IYCF Counsellor certification from BPNI. She is passionate in promoting breastfeeding, nutritional status monitoring, immunization, and child development. Her area of interest is Neonatology and monitoring of new-born at high risk. She would also like to teach postgraduate students. She works with DNB Pediatrics as an academic coordinator. Her desire is to work at a mission hospital. In addition to working as a Pediatrician at C.S.I. Kalyani Multi-Specialty Hospital, she has also served as medical superintendent and a Pediatrician at St. Luke's Mission Hospital in Nazareth.
