Dr Sam is a Senior Consultant Anaesthetist at St. Isabel’s Hospital and has an experience of nearly 30 years. He completed MBBS from Madras Medical College, Chennai in the year 1980. Post which he joined government service in 1990. He then pursued his MD in Anaesthesia at Madras Medical College scoring state first rank in the PG entrance in the year 1993. He was associated with MMC as a tutor for about 15 years. He was promoted from Professor of Anaesthesia to Head of  Neuro Anaesthesia in 2008. He guided around 120 students every year at MMC. He was also a part of organizing and certified the 108 ambulance services in Chennai. Served as certifying authority for all transplants including liver transplant in different corporate hospitals at Chennai. He was also the head of Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia at MMC for 2 years during when MMC conducted its first ever heart transplant.
